Use the same tasks to extract dates, units or figures from public documents. Define success by the accuracy required, then supply only the outcome of that evaluation and the cost of the attempts.
Cost the production of a usable research summary
Set your criteria first: cited sources, correct dates and no unsupported assertions, for example. Compare the costs of variants that meet those criteria. The tool does not independently check citations or the truth of the text.
Evaluate the budget for a monitoring cycle
For one workflow, project monthly costs for the same expected number of successful results. Records must include searches, models, tools and retries; human review time still needs to be costed separately.
